The man was caught flying his drone over the gustatory proceedings just after noon â€" shortly before upstart Matt Stonie shocked the competitive eating world by dethroning eight-time champion Joey Chestnut.

He wanted a better view of hot-dog history â€" but ended up with a summons.

A 40-year-old man was busted Saturday for flying a drone over the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on the Coney Island boardwalk, police sources said.

The tubed-meat enthusiast was caught flying his drone over the gustatory proceedings just after noon â€" shortly before upstart Matt Stonie shocked the competitive eating world by dethroning eight-time champion Joey Chestnut, swallowing 62 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.

Cops seized the drone and handed its owner a summons for violating city aviation laws, sources said.
