Singer Billy Joel, in a surprise move, married his girlfriend Alexis Roderick at a July 4th party at his mansion, People magazine reported.
The 66-year-old Joel and Roderick, 33, have been dating since 2009 and currently are expecting their first child, a girl who will be born this summer.
The singer and Roderick surprised the invited guests at his annual Fourth of July party by exchanging vows before family members and close friends at a ceremony officiated by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a long-time friend of the singer.
The wedding was performed at Joel's Long Island mansion.
Joel, known for classic pop tunes such as "Piano Man," for decades has been one of the most successful singers in the United States, having sold some 150 million albums worldwide during his career. EFE
