Ben Affleck may be going through a difficult time in his personal life, but his career continues to prosper.
Just one week after he and Jennifer Garner announced the end of their 10-year marriage via a joint statement released exclusively to PEOPLE, the Batman v. Superman star's next directorial project has been given the green light.
The Argo and Gone Baby Gone director's Live by Night â" based on Dennis Lehaneâs Prohibition-era crime novel â" has been officially greenlit by Warner Bros. Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning and Zoe Saldana are set to costar with Affleck when production begins in November.
Affleck is also in negotiations to co-write and star in a standalone Batman movie, according to Variety.
One source tells PEOPLE that Affleck's habit of making work a "priority" was one factor that drove him and Garner apart. Another source counters: "He really enjoys what he does. Sure, he works a lot, but it doesn't mean he doesn't go back to the kids. Those allegations that he chose work over her are not true."
